MCAS Miramar has become the premier military air show in Southern California. The static display areas comprise both current military aircraft, usually with one or two visiting aircraft from Canada or Europe, as well as many civilian and older warbirds.
The morning flying displays usually comprise the same performers from previous years but occasionally there are new performers or aircraft to be seen flying. The military part of the display is always loud, fast paced, and generally exciting with Marines both on the ground and in the air showing how they are prepared to "take out the enemy", culminating with a stellar display by the fabled Blue Angels.
